What is GORE-TEX® XCR®?
GORE-TEX® XCR® is without doubt the most advanced waterproof-breathable fabric available today. It is the culmination of decades of research from W.L. Gore, the company who pioneered waterproof-breathable outerwear.
GORE-TEX® fabrics use an extremely durable ePTFE membrane which has been the subject of countless hours of development. GORE-TEX® membrane incorporates a vital oleophobic layer, which stops the membrane from being contaminated by oils. The combination of technologies and materials used mean that GORE-TEX® fabrics are more breathable and last longer than competitor’s fabrics.
Why is GORE-TEX® XCR better?
Compared to other fabrics, GORE-TEX® lasts much longer in wet-flex tests. Other fabrics start to leak quickly in areas of constant movement. GORE-TEX® lasts much longer.
GORE-TEX® is also very chemically stable. Where other fabrics leak at a hint of insect repellent, GORE-TEX® stays waterproof .
GORE-TEX® XCR® fabric is the latest and most breathable member of the GORE-TEX® family. Compititor’s fabrics don’t breathe as well as XCR®, so XCR® feels drier and more comfortable.
GORE-TEX® fabrics are machine washable. So you can just put them in the wash when they get dirty. Many other fabrics need to be hand washed.
