What is GORE-TEX® PACLITE®?
GORE-TEX® PACLITE® fabric is an advanced fabric technology from W.L. Gore. It is the only fabric available that combines ultra light weight and packablity with extremely high waterproofness, breathability and non-leak durability.
All GORE-TEX® fabrics use the extremely durable ePTFE membrane. The combination of technologies and materials used means that GORE-TEX® fabrics are more breathable and last longer than competitor’s fabrics.
Why is GORE-TEX® PACLITE better?
Compared to other fabrics, GORE-TEX® lasts much longer in wet-flex tests. Other fabrics start to leak quickly in areas of constant movement. GORE-TEX® lasts much longer.GORE-TEX® is also very chemically stable. Where other fabrics leak at a hint of insect repellent, GORE-TEX® stays waterproof.
As well as having great breathability and durable waterproof qualities, PACLITE ® is the most compact of GORE-TEX® fabrics. PACLITE® fabric makes it possible to have a jacket that fits in a Jersey pocket, yet keeps the rain out hour after hour, year after year.
Together with WL Gore, Berghaus have developed Helium PACLITE® fabric. Helium fabric is exceptionally comfortable to wear, thanks to its soft, quiet handle and light weight.
GORE-TEX® fabrics are machine washable. So you can just put them in the wash when they get dirty. Competitor’s fabrics often need to be hand washed.
