BUILT TO WIN
The purpose of this bike is simple: dominate the world of cross-country... if its rider is capable (but then, we’re not here to talk about the rider, are we?). It is constructed around the Nuts 5 alloy frame, which is itself reworked each year, such is the very demanding nature of XC as a discipline.
In comparison to the Nuts 4 tubeset, each tube is modified in order to shave as many grams as possible. Thanks to the alloy elements used, the thickness has been reduced to 0,8 mm in both the top and down tubes, completely unthinkable for aluminum just a few years ago (just think, wall thickness was that of high-end steel frameset not even ten years ago!).
The forged head tube now houses an integrated headset, and its bigger diameter increases front-end stiffness for razor-sharp handling. Our trademark wishbone seatstays (found on all our hardtails) are forged and then machined, resulting in the typical comfort found in all our XC bikes.
Winning races is one thing, but if you can do it with a bit of comfort thrown in, who’s to complain? That’s what makes up a vélo d’opinion*, right? *a bicycle with the right attitude
